Lack of education tends to increase the likelihood of living in poverty. It is also true that youths with tertiary qualifications have a higher chance of securing a better-paying job and making better-informed decisions that affect their social, economic, and political wellbeing.
In line with our Ease mission pathway, EducateME is an initiative to purchase JAMB/UTME forms for students from low-income and underserved communities. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is a Nigerian institution that conducts National entrance exams similar to A-levels. It is a determinant for prospective students to be admitted into tertiary institutions.
The next phase of this initiative is EducateME10 aimed at facilitating the university education of 10 beneficiaries of EducateME.
We put out a call for beneficiaries at tutorial centers in low-income and underserved areas. We then administered a qualifying examination to narrow down the pool of beneficiaries.
Only beneficiaries of EducateME are eligible. From the pool of applicants, we will select 10 students who demonstrate excellence in academy as well as a heart to serve their communities.
You can support this initiative by sponsoring a student through the university.
